The Eagles 1978

This was an exciting commission for me. Not only was The Eagles The Long Run one of the first albums that I got for Christmas when I was a kid, but this is my first piece that went to sunny Southern California. I dug deep into the Eagles catalogue to get into their vibe when I was working on this one. As you can see, those warm Cali colours started to come through. I love the 70’s feeling that came out.

This cover was when they were at the top of their game and had a string of classic music that is just as good today as they were forty years ago. By this 1979, their lifestyle was blowing them apart and they wouldn’t make any more music together for a very long time.

This is done in acrylic, pencil, ink, spray paint, silver leaf, and finished in resin.
